This sewing set is certainly deluxe with the addition of a fabric “bin”, along with a zipper pouch and hand sewn Chatelaine. The fabric is from the Tilda Apple Butter range. A fancy zip and flower zip pull adorn the pouch. The bin can be used for any manner of things but I love to have one close by when sewing to place all my thread ends and offcuts into. The zippered pouch can hold all sorts of bits and pieces and the hand sewn Chatelaine here has a small scissor case, round flat pin cushion, needle book and what is called a “thimble pip”. This set includes the scissors, some pins & needles and there is a needle threader in the thimble pip.

The zipper pouch is lightly interfaced and measures 13cm (h) x 26cm (w). The chatelaine measures 118cm in length and is completely hand sewn. The needle book has pure wool fabric to hold the needles without them rusting. The pinwheel could also be useful for holding the now popular clips used in sewing. The fabric bin has a circumference of 46cm and with the top folded down is 15cm high (19cm high when top unfolded).
