This bag is constructed from a cotton table runner I purchased in Timor Leste when visiting our son and his family. Tais is the traditional fabric woven by women in Timor Leste. The handle, sides & base are made with another narrow length of Tais. I will write about the history of the fabric in my blog number 3. As it happened, the limitations of the fabric size dictated the size of the bag and it perfectly fits my 7th generation ipad in the slip pocket (iPad not included, by the way!)- hence the name. The lining is 100% cotton with some lovely padding quilted in. There is a magnetic closure on the flap as well as a decorative timber piece from my “stash”. I never doubted I would find the perfect use for it!

Dimensions: 28cm (h) x 19cm (w). Base is 5cm X 19cm. Strap is short and wide so will not lend itself to be a crossbody bag…just over one shoulder - 6cm x 85cm.
